A Day trip to Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary, Lancang, Pahang, Malaysia

Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary is the most popular short tour. This Elephant Sanctuary at Kuala Gandah, Pahang is one of the first of its kind in Malaysia. This Sanctuary serves as rehabilitation center for elephants found injured, abused or abandoned. Visitors to the Center will have the opportunity to feed, ride and bath with the elephants. However, bathing is subject to the water level at the nearby river. Visitors will also have the opportunity to visit an "Orang Asli" village at the entrance of the Sanctuary.

Our tour price is RM225.00 nett per adult and RM150.00 nett per child aged between 4 and 11 years old. with a minimum of 2 adults. For a group of more than 4 adults, the tour price is RM190.00 nett per adult and RM120.00 nett per child  The price is inclusive of transportation, simple lunch and conservation fee. Dress casually and bring along rain gear on wet days and extra clothing. This is not a private tour as there are other people joining you.

Tour commences at 9.00am with pick up from major hotels in Kuala Lumpur. If you arrive early, you may have the option to visit a nearby Deerland at no extra transport cost - although you have to pay the admission fee. Beside the Deers, you will find Hedgehog, Peacock, Sugar Glider, Pheasants, Ostrich, Sun Bear, Ferret and Snakes.

After a simple lunch, you will join the following activities at the Elephant Sanctuary - the crowds are there during the weekends and school holidays !

ACTIVITY SCHEDULE 

1pm, 1.30pm & 3.45pm - Video Documentary show at the Visitor Registration Office.

2pm  - The elephants will be led away to the Holding area for grooming and hand feeding where visitors will be invited during this session. 

PLEASE do not approach the Holding area until ALL the elephants have been safely secured by the staff on duty!

2.30pm - Overland elephant rides followed by bathing with elephants in the nearby river.

4pm - Depart for Kuala Lumpur. The Sanctuary closes at 5pm.
